【東芝】「gigabeat F」に40GB垂直記録HDD搭載モデル
東芝は、1.8型HDD内蔵縦型オーディオプレーヤー「gigabeat F」シリーズのラインナップを一新し、5月20日より発売します。1.8型HDDオーディオプレーヤーとしては世界初となる、垂直磁気記録方式HDDを採用した「F41」や、従来モデルから機能を向上させた「F21」、「F11」の計3機種、カラーバリエーションにより6モデル。
gigabeat F41
同社が2004年12月に発表した、垂直磁気記録方式を採用した厚さ5mm/容量40GBの1.8型HDD「MK4007GAL」を搭載したオーディオプレーヤー。
3月に発売された従来モデル「F40」より、厚みが3mm薄くなり、重量を10g軽量化。外形寸法63×106×16mm(横×縦×厚さ、重量約 160gと、10G/20GBと同サイズ、同重量を実現している。また、「F40」では標準添付だったUSBクレードルが別売りとなり、直販価格がF40 より5,000円値下げされた。
本体カラーもシルバーから、シャンパンシルバーに変更されているが、それ以外の仕様についてはF40から変更されていない。2.2型240×320ドットのカラー液晶ディスプレイを備えるほか、十字型のインターフェイス「プラスタッチ」を採用。対応フォーマットはWMA/MP3/WAVで、 Windows Media DRMもサポートする。電源は内蔵のリチウムイオン充電池を使用し、連続再生時間は約16時間。
USBホスト機能に対応。オプションのUSBクレードル「MEGBCS13」に載せ、ACアダプタを繋いだ状態で、USB接続したメディア内のDCF フォーマットの画像ファイルを本体に転送できる。ただし、画像をそのまま液晶画面で表示することはできず、ビューワー機能を利用する場合は gigabeat roomで転送する必要がある。
付属の「gigabeat room」により、Windows Media Player内のジャケット画像を参照し、gigabeat roomで楽曲を転送した際、ジャケット画像も自動的に本体に転送。さらに、GracenoteのMusicIDに対応。アナログ音源から取り込んだ楽曲にも自動的に曲名やアーティスト名が追加されるほか、タグ情報の編集も行なえる。
また、楽曲の曲調やジャンルに関するキーワードを選択することで、自動的にプレイリストが作成されるGracenote PLAYLISTもサポート。さらに、USB接続した本体内のSATファイル(HDD内の音声フォーマット)を、著作権を保護したままgigabeat roomから再生できる。
